My daily routine 10km hike. Toronto High Park

Facing West in Budapest Park.

Inside High Park (small lake)

High Park (West side)

East side High Park. The lower level allows for dogs to run free.

Big difference between summer and early spring. The summer foliage hides all of the urban intrusions, i.e.;  apt bldg, streets...)

I was surprised to see all the people at this park. However our first spring day in Toronto was beautiful. People and children were enjoying the park.

The Disappearance Of Nicole Morin – Missing From Toronto, Ontario – Since 1985
Details of Disappearance Nicole Louise Morin disappeared from her apartment building 627 The West Mall, in Etobicoke, Toronto, Canada on the 30th of July 1985, where she lived with her mother. She departed the penthouse condo headed towards the lobby, en route to meet her friend Jennifer so they can go swimming. The apartment is located around Highway 427 and the Rathburn Road area.
Description of Nicole at Time of Disappearance
      – Brown eyes
      – Brown hair
      – 4’3″ in height at the time of her disappearance
      – Has a birthmark on the right side of her forehead
      – Pierced ears which protruded
      – Gap in her front two teeth.
At 10.30 that morning, Nicole went to pick up the mail from the lobby of the 20 story apartment building. She made it back to the apartment to get ready for her playdate with her friend. She spoke with her friend on the intercom and advised she would be right down. Her friend waited 15 minutes in the lobby before buzzing the intercom again. At 11 am Nicole left her apartment and said goodbye to her mother and entered the penthouse hallway. This missing poster advises she was last seen entering the elevator. However her doe page advises she was last seen in the hallway. When I first heard about the case years ago, I read online her mother was running a day care from her apartment, and was doing so the day of Nicole’s disappearance. However, I can not find a credible link to post of this. Here is the google maps link to the apartment building. The pool was located at the rear.
      Recent Movements in the Case
The Oct. 28, 2014, ground search on Horseshoe Valley Road, 20 km (7.87 miles) north of Barrie, was the result of a call to Crime Stoppers from a citizen asking police to revisit an OPP tip from 1985. The tip came in from Billie Jo Player who was only 11 when Nicole went missing. Two days after Nicole’s disappearance, Billie heard screams, also confirmed by her neighbours, coming from the heavily wooded property and called 911. Unfortunately, police found nothing conclusive.
