What's your favorite Toyota/Lexus?

Recommended Posts

If I had to chose a Toyota it would be an old classic truck like when I was a teen

I drove it in high school when I was working on one of my Chevelles. That truck was a work horse.

Toyota Landcruiser. A diesel model. Except apparently they don't even sell them in North America as they are too expensive? Or so I heard, that could be wrong info.

I own/have owned 5 Toyota's - currently a RAV4 and a Tacoma. In the past - one of Toyota's weird vans, the original one that a 4 cylinder engine under the drivers seat. Did 70MPH max with a tailwind. Also had an original Toyota 4WD minitruck. And an old Supra at one point.

My god, I had that same setup. Except the truck was grey, and the camper was slightly different 🙂

Check the date. I would have been 26. I even remember what I was doing, putting aftermarket overloader springs on.

German is the way to go

Yeah, I hear the Mercedes made in Germany are pretty good but the ones made in the US are pretty poor quality. I am not sure how true that is though.

Omg that’s awesome, we had an 1980 it was a carbureted 2.0 with a 4 speed trans. We did a Holley carb and a header we put a 25 gallon gas tank in it

I'd have to agree with The Area 51 rider.  Old school land cruiser with the diesel.

But also those certain years of 4runners with the removable hard top.

Jeeps are so lame.  I've driven a few.  They are so bad.   I use to work for Hennessy Lexus.  The IS series were me favorite.  Kind of an Audi guy now.  Long story.

The 1st generation 4runner has always been a favorite...as is the FJ40 and FJ45.  I have a Lexus GX470 mainly because my wife likes the street ride of the Lexus over the Toyotas mentioned earlier.  I like the 470 over the 460 mainly because of the engine.
