Hazardous conditions for night-prowling. I would guess that even exploring in the day would pose some problems.

Lots and lots of dark areas.  Rotten flooring and caving in roofs.  Who knows what toxic chemicals and materials are there.  Asbestos for sure and assorted acidic and caustic chemicals.

Nice photos and videos Dave, sorry to hear the scrappers have shown up, sounds like this place will be gone in no time now. What a shame! 🤬

What was this place used for?

It was used for a couple different manufacturing processes.  I know they did some specialty work for the government with packaging.  Mostly treated cardboard it seems.  Waxed etc.  I believe after the second World war they branched off into other products including some chemical production.  Maybe even making paper bags from the equipment left behind.

I agree Bob.  The scrappers will be followed by the vandals and spray painters and ultimately the end of that place.  I am almost relieved to see the security company there.  Means I won't be going back probably but also means it might survive.  I believe since it is such a Hazardous place that would be so expensive to tear down and remove it just might be there quite a while yet.  The owners probably dont want to spend 10s of millions to have it removed in compliance with environmental standards.  So they will let it sit and slowly corrode away

I used to live at the base of Blue Mountain, and I once got to explore the mountain. There are abandoned mines, abandoned mining claims, remains of a cabin that is at least 60 years old, and a year-round spring flowing out the side of the mountain! It was only accessible by quad, and it took about 2 hours to get to, but it is an incredibly unique and untouched place. Highly recommend exploring Blue Mountain!! At least half of it is BLM (checkerboard BLM and private land in mile squares out there). I also know of a few different abandoned houses, a ghost town, and a hot spring (if it's still there...) would love to share the info with you guys!!

Some of the coolest places I've been have been really close by.  No real travel involved at all.  Seems like wherever theres people there is always something abandoned.    What's your closest adventure?  What is there?

Many times on our videos we see people who are unhappy with the fact that we usually keep locations secret. Some think we do this in order to be mean, others think we do it because we are trespassing. The truth is, neither of these are actually true. The only reason we try to keep some locations secret is to try and prevent further destruction and vandalism of these locations. I am not sure it works though as it seems that every time we return to a location we kept secret, it's always destroyed more. What do you think?
