@Viridian interesting shots.

Photo  6 and 7 appear to be showing a resurgent dome or a lava dome which are seen here on earth. This feature is very old. A great shot

Photo 4 and 5 have interesting content.

I don"t want to be accused of submitting a pareidolic interpretation but wow those pics have strange content. Now I did play with the colours a bit and try to coax the formation in giving up some details. We could see a crater with a geological-type dome at the center of the irregular shaped elevation. It's the surrounding formation that is slightly bizarre. I could let my imagination run away here but...

Mufon are very interested in these 2 pictures and are having a photographic expert analyse them with my permission and full blessing

These last two pics are very cool but I must say they are probably a resurgent or lava dome that formed long ago but I will examine them a little later. Without being there or having a closer look I can't be sure.  However picture no. 4 and 5 are interesting to me.

You have interesting pictures (I'm an extremely amateurish astronomer)  please continue to share your pix. 👍👍

They are pretty up close. Wonder if it's km per pixel, or feet ?

I am not sure but if the crater could be identified in relation to the size of the Moon you should be able the size of the feature by rights

Interesting. I'm assuming your target of interest is at the lower part of the frame, slightly off to the left?

I was looking more at the long snake like feature middle frame

I just picked up a Nikon P1000  So hopefully I might be able to get more fine detail into the moon pictures but  going by the reviews there not difference between the P900 and P1000 in Zoom capability in the final pictures even though of the size and zoom differences

However I did just find out you can photograph Saturn with its rings visible and get other planets with some sort detail with both cameras  when it clears up here I will give it ago

Below size comparisons

Olympus Stylus 50X Zoom

Nikon P900 83X Zoom

Nikon P1000 125X Zoom

I tried out the P1000 tonight which was very difficult as the Moon was vertically above me and I am still getting used to it but I would have to say it is a better than P900 just enough to get better clarity of the Moon surface

The second series of 'snake feature' pix are very interesting.

The first series appears to be a series of off set craters. We're seeing the partial ridges of those craters.

However the last set is odd. I'll be checking these pix when I'm officially back from my break.

Keep sending those pix.

👍👍
