Single Status Update
We've been dieting for over a month. I only lost 4 lbs in one month, switched to low carb and lost 4 lbs in a day or 2. Anyway- any tips, recipes, foods I can eat?? besides meat and broccoli and cauliflower?

I know what you mean Christie. You bring up an interesting point because in a way all of us are always one some type of "diet", and I guess it just depends on what becomes normalized as your daily "diet" in your home. We no longer consider our keto as a "diet". We eat what is available in our home, and only keto friendly foods enter our home, so it doesn't really feel like a diet to us anymore.
It did at first, but I think over time we have become accustomed to both intermittent fasting and keto. My kids have been eating low carb for around 3 years now, maybe 4, and it just seems normal to us now. It's seems very abnormal to us when we think of eating sugary food.
@EWU Bob That's good! We were planning to keep our calories low and make it a lifestyle, but I think low carb would be too hard for us. Maybe if we weren't so strict with this diet. We have some low calorie/carb bread and we're pretty used to it. The low carb tortillas are good but I miss regular ones.
We don't worry about calories at all, eat as much as we want, so long as the carbs are low. Of course there are many different types of diets out there, just like the SAD diet, so I am not saying one is right and one is wrong, just different. There are so many low carb tortilla's now, which is nice. I honestly can't tell the difference anymore. I do remember missing all kinds of stuff when we first started though.
It takes some time to grow accustomed to the new way of eating, but it's worth it once you make the transition and get accustomed to it. Regardless of what type of diet you choose, I hope you are able to reach your goals.
